Floriade

Every year Canberra holds the Floriade festival to celebrate the start of spring. Even if you're not that into flowers (like me) it is a lovely, free thing to go to and enjoy. There are performers and market stalls as well as rides and a petting zoo for the kids. You can take your own picnic lunch or buy lunch from one of the many food vendors.
